Python with Playwright
for Web Automation

  • Starts November 2
  • Tue · Thu
  • 6:00–8:00 PM
  • Pacific Time

50+ hours of live, hands-on training in Python, Playwright, automation, and AI-assisted testing.

This course combines practical automation experience with modern AI tools used in today’s QA workflows. You’ll work through hands-on exercises, real-world testing scenarios, and advanced test strategies while strengthening your Python skills and building practical experience with Playwright.

Learn how to build robust, scalable, and maintainable automated test suites for modern web applications using Python and Microsoft Playwright — while using AI to support coding, debugging, test creation, and everyday automation tasks.

This isn’t just another coding course. It’s a practical automation program with extensive hands-on experience, designed for QA engineers, SDETs, and developers who want to advance their automation skills and work more effectively with modern tools and AI.

WHAT YOU GET

Live Teaching,
Not Pre-Recorded Lectures.

  • In Real Time

    Live Sessions in Real Time

Classes are live with an instructor — not pre-recorded. You can join, listen, and ask questions in real time.

  • Video Recordings Available

Every live session is recorded and saved, so you can replay a class whenever it suits you.

  • Live Sessions Every Week

Live classes run two evenings a week — Tuesdays and Thursdays — across the course.

  • Webinars

Webinars run alongside regular classes — deeper looks at tools, methods and real project work.

  • Ask the Instructor

Talk to your instructor directly and get your questions answered while the class is still going.

  • Student Community

Learn with a community of students — compare notes, share screens and work through problems together.

CURRICULUM

Six Modules.

01

Module 1

Python Fundamentals

Refresh and strengthen the exact Python foundation automation runs on.

  • Hello Python: variables, data types, operators, user input, and f-strings
  • Functions, conditionals, and loops — the control flow behind every test
  • Lists, dictionaries, and sets: the data structures behind test data and JSON
  • Classes and objects: the OOP that powers the Page Object Model
  • Python essentials for QA: assertions, exceptions, JSON, file handling, and your first pytest run

02

Module 2

Playwright Fundamentals

Write, record, and run your first real browser tests.

  • Why Playwright leads the industry: auto-waiting, codegen, trace viewer, and cross-browser engines
  • Your first test: browser, context, and page — plus recording tests with codegen
  • The locator ladder: get_by_role, labels, placeholders, test IDs, and CSS — in the right order
  • Assertions that don't flake: auto-waiting, getters, and parametrized test data

03

Module 3

UI Testing in Action — Stateless Page Objects & Fixtures

Full end-to-end flows and building a framework with the proper architecture.

  • End-to-end flows fully automated, negative testing and running suites
  • Test hygiene: arrange-act-assert, one behavior per test, and true test independence
  • The Page Object Model: one class per page, locators as recipes, zero duplication
  • The four Stateless rules that keep page objects clean, chainable, and assertion-free
  • pytest fixtures: conftest.py, setup and teardown with yield, and fixture composition
  • Scopes, factory fixtures, and storage_state to run everything faster

04

Module 4

API Testing with the Requests Library

Go below the UI — test the backend directly, the skill that sets QA resumes apart.

  • HTTP for testers: requests, responses, verbs, idempotency, and the status codes that matter
  • CRUD in practice: create, read, update, and delete against a live API with auth tokens
  • API clients and data builders — the Page Object idea applied to endpoints
  • Negative testing: bad payloads, boundary values, and asserting failures on purpose

05

Module 5

AI for QA & CI/CD with GitHub Actions

AI as your assistant, and your tests running automatically on every push.

  • AI agents for self-healing tests that repair themselves when the app changes
  • Using AI to debug failures and generate new tests based on your existing ones
  • Git fundamentals: staging, commits, branches, and resolving a merge conflict
  • GitHub team workflow: pull requests, code review, and branch protection
  • A CI pipeline running your own tests on every push.

06

Module 6

Bonus: Coding Challenges & Job Search

Finish job-ready — not just course-complete.

  • Coding challenges: the Python and QA questions that keep coming up in interviews
  • Job search tools: your GitHub as a portfolio, with a README that survive a 20-second scan
