The school also provides an internship which helps you gain practical experience. They are up to date with the current job market and also prepare you for the interview. Portnov school played a major role in my career change goal. I not only enjoyed learning software testing basics here but was also able to enrich my knowledge through one of the internship programs. The internship program introduced me to a real world software testing field, where we operated in an Agile/Scrum work environment, performed different types of testing, and used various testing tools (including a test automation tool). Another huge advantage of doing the internship was our job interview practice!

Coming from a non-IT background, I was a bit skeptical whether I can really make a career in this field but as I started attending the classes for Software Quality Assurance, I quickly realized that the teachers: Michael, Janna, Olga, Sofia, Galina and Tatiana go above and beyond to prepare everyone for the long run. They deliver an up-to-date curriculum that suits the market needs and provide students with hands on software training with top leading and efficient programs such as Java, Selenium, Cucumber, SQL, Linux, API, Networking, Mobile testing etc.
Not only that, at the completion of the course the school will provide internship opportunities and an intensive boot camp training where the mentors go out of their way to assist with resume building and job applications. Going through this program was significant in helping me make a career change and I am very much pleased to share you that I managed to land in a decent job in the Bay area.

I started studying at Portnov School because three of my friends recommended it to me, and now, when I graduated and found a job, I will recommend it to my other friends too! I actually already have some friends who are studying or just graduated as I did.
When I was studying at Portnov School I regretted starting it, because often there were times when I had difficulties understanding some things (especially Java) or just finding enough time to complete homework and catch up with others. Now, when I got 2 job offers (and lots of final interviews canceled because of already having 2 great offers), there is only 1 thing I regret: I regret that I hadn’t started studying much sooner! 95% of all questions that I got on interviews were discussed during our classes and internship so I was very well prepared to answer them, thanks to our teachers. I really appreciate the hard work of all the teachers! I got lots of phone calls from recruiters because my job market resume from the school was very well polished! I am excited to start my job soon and I highly recommend taking this course ASAP if you want to change your life and get a better job!

I really liked studying at Portnov School. Program is intense, but you get all support from teachers. They do care about each student to succeed. Do you want to know the secret? If you learn at least what you are given during classes, you will get a job. You will get a job if you are passionate, curious and proactive. I came to school in the hardest time, when Covid hit and market went down. Despite pandemic, school never left me behind and I got internship with their help. I am very happy my career in QA officially stated. The only thing I regret is that I didn’t come to school earlier.
This the school where will give you chance to career change and better life opportunity! Happy to be the student of Portnov who got two offers from Bay Area top ranked software companies. And also happy for my group mates who inform me about their new career job after we graduate the school.
